SIGNIFICANCE:
The red comes from the armories of Brouage, as well as from Poitou, ancient French province where was located the Charente-Maritime region.

The blue and the lily represent France and the Nouvelle-France, and the maple leaf represents our beautiful Canadian maple trees.

The Royal Door of Brouage, a small borough of the Charente-Maritime, with its ancient fortifications built with rubbles and hardcores coming from the salt-water marshes of the area.

The two wheat shafts as well as the two coat of arms represent our two ancestors JEAN and PIERRE GRONDIN and their descendants' aspirations.
